Hollywood Undead is a rock/rap band from Los Angeles, California. They released their debut album, “Swan Songs” on September 2, 2008, and their live CD/DVD Desperate Measures, on November 10, 2009. Their second studio album “American Tragedy” was released April 5, 2011 and debuted at #4 on Billboards Top 200. The band’s third studio album “Notes from the Underground” was released on Jan. 8, 2013 and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200, which is the highest debut to date for the band. Because of rave reviews and hype from fans on many social networks, they had no problem selling out all their shows on the first tour of 2013. Now they are on their second tour of the year, entitled “Blood In, Blood Out” and they are still selling out venues.

Hollywood Undeads fourth stop on their tour takes them to the “Chameleon Club” in Lancaster, Pa. where I was able to witness this incredible live show. The club is a not very big and the stage is pretty small, but that did not stop these guys from putting on a great show. At about 9 PM the lights go down and a familiar song from the 60’s blares over the PA. It’s “California Dreamin” from The Mamas & the Papas. The song stops abruptly and the opening notes of “Undead” started, the place exploded. The band came out in their signature masks, which light up when its dark. The energy from the fans and the band was amazing. They played “Tendencies” and “Been to Hell” before removing the masks.

Since they did a few songs from the two prior cd’s, now it was time for something off the new cd. They played “Dead Bite”. By the response from the fans, that was a good choice. It sounded as if everybody in the crowd new all the lyrics the the new song. The band did a great job arranging the setlist. Most songs were off of the “American Tragedy” cd but I’m sure they will incorporate more new songs as the fans become more familiar with the new release. They ended the 14 song set with “Hear Me Now” then came back and did two encore songs “Everywhere I Go” and “We Are”.

The Chameleon Club was the place to be May 19th 2013. If you have not seen Hollywood Undead and like them. You need to go to a show to get get the full Hollywood Undead experience. They will not disappoint you.
